EXPLORE AFRICA THROUGH WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
If you aren't able to travel to Africa, delving into wildlife photography is a great way to absorb Africa’s wildlife through the picturesque and dramatic scenes in photography books. Oftentimes, photographers will capture wild animals in ways that are difficult for us to see them - up close, running towards the camera, catching prey or moments within their pride or with their young.
Photographers who lens these majestic animals spend months and months in Africa to get the perfect shot, that allows us as the viewer to see the animal in a unique way that we are not able to see whilst exploring Africa on a regular safari. These images are extraordinarily beautiful to view as well as achieve a unique exploration of Africa from the comfort of our sofa.
EXPLORE AFRICA THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS
One of the best ways to explore Africa is creating an adventure, trekking some of Africa’s incredible mountains. Africa is known to have the world's most renowned mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the whole world as well as being the tallest mountain in Africa. Making this mountain an epic way to explore Africa.
There are plenty of other great mountains to try too. Mount Kenya, Mount Stanley, Mount Meru, Ras Daschen, Table Mountain, Simien mountains are all amazing ranges to hike. You could also combine trekking a mountain with exploring some of Africa’s best Craters too. It’s a fantastic way to see Africa and is an excellent alternative to an African safari. We hike the Olmoti Crater on our groundbreaking African Lion Safari, as well as visit the Ngorongoro Crater too. Both legendary Craters!
EXPLORE AFRICA BY FOOT
Exploring Africa by foot is a fascinating way to see the continent. Aside from city hopping, there are incredible ways to view the wildlife and region on foot and a walking safari is a great way to do this.
Even though walking safaris aren’t highly requested, they do exist and they are becoming more and more popular. Exploring Africa by foot allows you to take a closer look at the region in greater detail. Focusing on smaller wild animals, reptiles and insects we would normally miss being inside a safari vehicle.
Having the opportunity to explore Africa on foot also allows you to slow the pace of your adventure, enabling you to meet the locals, sightsee in greater detail, observe wildlife more carefully and explore Africa more organically.
We incorporate a walking safari on our African Lion Safari where we immerse our guests within the beautiful surrounding landscape. There will be nothing that is obstructing you from the wildlife which is extremely exciting. We go in search of lion spoors, exotic butterflies, resident birds and wild animals.
EXPLORE AFRICA BY WAY OF CONSERVATION
Exploring Africa whilst focusing on conservation is a meaningful way to venture around Africa’s vibrant countries. There are an abundance of ways to support and impact wildlife conservation and humanitarian aid. From helping local communities to boosting wildlife awareness and helping overcome obstacles that populations and wild animals face. Exploring Africa is a fantastic way to make an impact whilst enjoying an experience of a lifetime.
From volunteering to joining an adventure that is conservation or humanitarian based, helping preserve Africa is a popular choice of many travelers.
Our African Lion Safari is a groundbreaking adventure that uses travel as a vehicle to learn about lion conservation. A perfect way to explore Africa by way of conservation!

Our favorite wildlife books are wealthy in history, inspiration and escapism. ‘I Married Adventure’ by Osa Johnson, ‘Love, Life & Elephants’ by Daphne Sheldrick and ‘A Primate's Memoir’ by Robert Sapolsky are all brilliant reads and conjure up stories of Africa’s true meaning. These books will surely inspire you to visit and explore Africa. Here are 5 more books that will transport you to the heart of the land - 5 Books That Will Make You Want To Visit Africa
EXPLORE AFRICA BY BOAT
Sailing your way through rivers and seas is a great way to explore Africa. The African waters hold some of the most promised experiences you can experience in this world. From its crystal turquoise sea waters to its dangerous, captivating and historical rivers - exploring Africa by boat is an incredible way to enjoy the continent as well as its magnificent islands.
Embrace the variety of opportunities to boat from setting sail down Africa’s longest river - The Nile, to crossing precarious Zambezi and Chobe Rivers and floating along the Mozambique azure coastline to explore Africa's various islands, including the gorgeous Seychelles. If you prefer to travel by water than land, an exploration of Africa by boat is the way to go!
EXPLORE AFRICA THROUGH HISTORY
An exploration of Africa we highly recommend is to travel through its rich history on an adventure of a lifetime.
Even though Africa screams ‘safaris’ - exploring Africa and its history can make for an unbelievable experience.
Africa’s most popular world history starts in Egypt, decoding hieroglyphics to viewing the Great Sphinx of Giza to its outstanding pyramids. Africa is steeped in history and any country you visit, there is a bounty of information about its culture, people and animals who roam within it. The Cape of Good Hope and Skeleton Coastline in Namibia all hold stories of its hundreds of haunting shipwrecks. The Valley of the Kings in Egypt, Africa’s wondrous rock formations and artifacts all hold a wealth of history waiting to be discovered. If you are looking for an exploration of Africa with a difference, traveling through Africa’s history is highly suggested.
