Tanzania is one of the most desirable places to visit in Africa. Our route takes us through the most thrilling locations on this magnificent journey! We start our adventure in the beating heart of Tanzania - Arusha. Before we head to Tanzania’s greatest attraction - The Serengeti, we take a day to explore the breath-taking Ngrongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. Not only will we see an abundance of lion prides and wild animals for the first time on our safari trip, but we will view the crater in all its glory - from rim to floor. Lake Manyara offers more than just the lake as we get a birds eye view on our incredible and unique tree top walkway. Nature walks and sunrise Safari’s are upon us as we gear up for our journey to the magnificent Serengeti! From lions galore to sunken sunsets and bountiful nature - we will experience it all in the wilderness of these stunning plains. Our journey gets even more exciting as we adventure towards Olmoti Crater where we will experience the wildlife on the ground through our hiking safari. African bush, rare bird species and views are plentiful here as we get to view a part of Africa that not many get to encounter. Stories of legendary lions, lions in history and fables come to life during our adventure which will inspire you.

The AFRICAN LION SAFARI daily Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Africa! Get ready to experience an adventure of a lifetime. You will arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, warmly met by your BornWild guide and transferred to the beautiful city of Arusha, famous for being the safari capital of Northern Tanzania, because of its gateway to the most popular safari parks in the world. Exciting locations and attractions are before you on the start of our journey tomorrow.

Day 2: Get ready - for our adventure begins! Exciting times lay ahead as we experience one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa - Lake Manyara and embark on the most unique adventure - Tanzania’s Treetop Walkway to observe wildlife with a birds-eye-view from the tops of the trees. After our sky-high adventure, we will hit the road and travel to the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 3: Welcome to one of the 7 Wonders of Africa - The Ngorongoro Crater! Not only will we be observing the Crater’s 65 resident lions but our day will be filled with breathtaking blends of scenery and wildlife coupled with a fascinating historical and cultural element. In the afternoon we will enjoy our private talk with lion conservation organisation - Kope Lion.

Day 4: Enjoy a day of sun-soaked experiences! Our day starts early as we pack up, leave camp and head to the legendary Serengeti. Here, we will witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - The Great Migration. We will also be observing the other fabulous resident wildlife of the Serengeti which consists of elephant, crocodile, zebra, cheetah, leopard, black rhino and so much more!

Day 5: We will awaken at dawn to enjoy our gorgeous sunrise game drive as we depart the Serengeti and head towards the stunning Ndutu Plains. On this game drive we will be tracking lions and watching them come to life in the cool hours of the morning light. In the afternoon we will enjoy an immersive nature walk in the Ndutu Plains where we will learn about wildlife from the bush.

Day 6: Our adventures wouldn’t be a BornWild experience without an spectacular mountain hike. Today we get to hike one of the most sought-after hiking spots in Tanzania - the Olmoti Crater and Munge Waterfalls. After our hike we will head to Nainokanoka where we will enjoy a cultural experience and spend time with the Maasai tribe and learn about their way of life.

Day 7: After an exciting week in Tanzania, it’s time to head back home. As we gather for one last breakfast to say our goodbyes to our fellow explorers - take a moment to reflect on this incredible journey we have experienced in Tanzania. The heart of lion-land.
